I came here twice after I first moved to New York, and it was a bit of a shocker finding that I was paying nearly 15 bucks for cocktails served in a plastic cup. But hey, it's New York, and if you're willing to look, you'll find other places that have more of a theme and possibly a little more room on the dance floor. One of the weird things I remember about this place was how it was small at first, but later they opened another section of the dance floor. They should have had it opened from the beginning instead of going from cramped to cramped. Do a little research and find another venue to throw your event. Strata doesn't cut it.
by lisa g. on I am no doubt biased because I Love champagne but I like the Bubble Lounge. But I really only like the upstairs part. I like dancing, just not in the Bubble Lounge basement. Maybe it is the DJs they get but there is also definitely something weird about the dance space. Its too bad because I love the idea of a place you can go dance and then go back to your couch in a conversation friendly area but the Bubble Lounge doesn't quite work that way for me. Still, I give it four stars because I like their couches and their snacks and I love the champagne selection. PS This is the kind of place to stick with who you came with and not really mingle with crowd too much.
