by Kristina Meyerhoff on I'm not a expert on LA clubs. Whatsoever. But I like to review every goddamn place I go. I don't have illusions of gradeur- I know you don't hang on my every typo. I just have too much time at my desk and a straight-up rateclubs addiction. So it was a Saturday and an ultra-rare "girl's night". Cover was ten bucks. It's got a dark yet colorful, zen-in-city decor. The dancing went well becuase the music was right for me- lotsa hip hop, much of it old school and hits. Stuff I can mouth along to while I grind my imaginery dance partner. Got soaked with sweat on the crowded, hot dance floor. My arms were flailing- I'm a contributor to the prob trisha described. If I hit you, I am sorry. The drinks were average but pricey. Then again, I usually drink at home or in dive bars. Is 4 drinks for 35 bucks plus tip bad? I guess I wouldn't have minded except I was way too sober when signing the credit slip. Maybe there were some good looking guys there, but the only ones who came up to me.....weren't. I'm not on the market--I was just taking note for my single (or cheater) lady rateclubsers. Because I care. This place is just too far for me, especially when drinks are brought into the equation and there's no viable public transit. BUT. It is in close proximity to my soulmate the Burrito King. So the night ended in ecstacy.
by D K. on After waiting in line for over 40 minutes and dropping $20 for the cover, I went inside to pay $20+ for two drinks. Are they serious? The decor is horrendous. The entire vibe is that of a house party. The basement is a big rectangle with one bar on the side. And for the fellas: Ever wonder what fat ugly girls do on weekends? They go to Providence.
