by Angie H. on Went here with a few friends to see Far East Movement perform. My friends got there around 10 and was in line for almost an hour. Not sure if that's how it is normally or because of the Show. There was no cover charge. We went inside, the bar was extremely crowded at 11ish, but the bartenders worked fast, we got our drinks after maybe 5 mins or so, after shot of patron we hit the dance floor. It was packed, but not crazy like some reviewers said, pretty standard night club scene. FEM came on sometime after 12, we rush back to the front of the club to see them perform. They did G6 and Girls on the Dance Floor, and maybe 1 more song? I'm not too sure haha. After they are done the dancers came on, they were really friendly, totally cool with picture requests and stuff, good dancers too :) One thing that was pretty gross was there were water dripping down from the ceiling... I'm not really sure what it was...My friends and I got drinks spilled on our feet once or twice, minimal broken glasses on the floor, no flights...all in all a pleasant experience as far as clubbing in SF goes lol. +1 star for the washroom attendant helping me find my lost clutch super fast!!
by Chi Thoreson on Good concept... cheesy execution. When I heard of a place the was carnival themed, my imagination went wild... Only to be sorely disappointed. It is totally overpriced (shocker), the "acts" are kind of disjointed, and just all together feel of the place is just awkward. The one redeeming aspect for me was the drag-queen dominatrix, who makes dirty balloon "animals". She was awesome!
by Percy Nishina on As a spur of the moment decision after a text from a friend, me and three other girls decided to stop by Antik. Bring already drunk, I was in a good mood. After enticing the bouncer to let in the two 19 year old girls who didn't have fakes, we finally made it in. The downstairs area is more chill with a bar and some booths. There was music playing but most people were talking and relaxing. Upstairs, the décor was a little different, more dim and dark. The music was pretty good but the DJ changed songs every 45 seconds or so and kept using some obnoxious sports horn noise. Other than that, I had a great time dancing and enjoying myself. Drinks weren't too expensive either, maybe $7 which was a pleasant surprise. Also you can smoke inside.
