by Sergio R. on What can one say about the Park. There's booze, there's dancing, there's no cover, there's them pretending they have a dress code, there's them pretending they have a line. Inside it is kind of nice. They have many different spaces, to suit whatever mood you and your friends happen to be experiencing that moment. They have a pretend outdoor space, with a glass skylight roof, that kept leaking water on us. It was raining. I went for Pearl's birthday, so her cool friends may have rubbed off a bit on this review. I've giving the Park 4 stars. The crowd is youngish, mostly 20's & 30's, which is my cohort. Although sometimes I forget, 'cause I've spent a bit of time at events with the age-challenged the last few years, usually for work. People were very friendly. I like to think that the girls were just responding to a dapper dresser, and an infectious smile. Though, I don't entirely discount the effect of the social lubricant that was being dutifully dispensed by the bartenders. I hate to admit, but I may actually return sometime, especially if someone wants a wingman. It was definitely fun acting one's age again, even if it was at the Disneyland of the New York club scene.
by Larraine Harkin on The best part of my night last night at Bruno's wasn't technically inside Bruno's...it was more like right outside sitting at the bus stop, not really waiting for the bus, just sitting there. I don't think I have laughed that hard ever, and can't really remember what I was laughing about, but damn it was funny!! Bruno's is cool, I mean obviously I had a fun time. I like places that have DJs instead of just playlists, it makes dancing more fun! Truthfully though, what matters more is how fun the people you are with then the how fun the bar is that makes the night. Bruno's gets five stars because I had fun hanging out with fun people last night!
