Walk up to the ropes and feel like royalty... my buddy hands me a ticket, lets me and the girls in... and we are off... making our way around the club... spending hours dancing.... only issue is the guy at the back door with an ego the size of his belly.... but i try to ignore him... oh and girls... the guys here are RELENTLESSSSSS never gone anywhere and had so many guys think they stood a chance!!!! They wont buy you a drink, but they'll try to rub the sock they stuffed down their pants all up your butt.... so watch out!
by Herbert Caliz on Spent a night in South Beach with 3 girlfriends this past weekend. Everywhere we went, we kept hearing about how exclusive Set was, how hard to get in to, great DJ, etc. We walked up to the door at midnight on Friday and got right in with no hassle after I said we had a reservation. They didn't even bother asking my name, just took us to a table. The music was crappy techno, there was like 5 other people in the club, and the waitress sat us down at a table for 2 people. We are not feeling it at this point. We order a bottle of Kettel and she tells us there is a $750 minimum to sit at our tiny 2 seat table. I start arguing that there is no way we can drink 2 bottles of hard booze, and BTW I have done bottle service all over Chicago and Vegas and never heard of such a thing for a group of 4 women. If we had guys with us, or a larger group, I get that, but come on. Especially when the place is empty. She offers to let us stand by the bar and only by one bottle. Not how we planned to spend our only night in South Beach, thanks. We left immediately and went to Mansion, where the service was awesome and the crowd was really fun. Set was a huge disappointment.
