by Lizbeth Manasse on I don't really do the whole girls night out thing, I'm much more of a girls night in kind of lady. But once in a blue moon, my friends are able to pull me away from Taboo and Cranium and drag me out onto "the scene". I'd recommend 330 Ritch if you enjoy the following: * An awesome DJ -- Sam Issac kicks ass * Skinny blonde girls in short ass dresses * $10 vodka Red Bulls * Gross guys making their way around the dance floor desperately trying to find something to take home. * Lot's of unnecessary hand on the lower back walk-bys. * Looking over to see the girl next to you being fingered on the dance floor. Yikes. I was horrified by a lot of things I saw at 330 Ritch, but I still had fun with my lady friends and the few non-disgusting guys we encountered. I'm going to crawl back into my cave now, but I might return next time I feel the need to dance the night away.
by Rachel E. on I went here last saturday and it wasn't as bad as the reviews make it sound....but by no means was it great either. I went with a guy friend and a girl friend, and we all had a good time dancing to the top-40/hip hop-ish mix and drinking. It's true, there are some gross looking San Jose wannabe strippers always jumping up on the bar to "dance", but its so bad its amusing. Plus it makes you feel good about yourself (i.e. I may be living in a crappy apartment trying to pay off those damn student loans, but at least I'm not THAT girl). We found parking by chance right in front, there was no line to get in, but we all had to pay a $15 cover! Yeesh. That cost them one star. But otherwise, it never got TOO crowded to dance, or too hot/sweaty, and I didn't see any fights or much of the girl harrasment that other reviewers claim. Maybe we just got lucky and caught Rouge on a good night? I would DEFINITELY go back if I was sure to get in for free...otherwise, eh.
