Friday night hasn't nothing of a cuban night... I was expecting in at least one of the rooms some Latin music... And the club was kindda empty... A weird rock/pop band in the middle stage... I'll give it a try anther time on a dedicated Latin night to check out this "Havana ambiance" ;-)

Formerly "Show", I'm not sure if the name just changed or if it switched hands or if they did a renovation or what. Anyways, I was there last night for Jordi Scott's "Get 'Em Raw" Fall/Winter Collection Fashion Show. The space is huge - definitely great for the event. They've actually got some pretty goods pics on their site if you want to check out the layout... I digress... so yeah, perfect venue for a fashion show and they quickly disassembled the catwalk and chairs after the show was done to make room for the dancefloor. The bartenders were friendly and poured with a heavy hand - which always spells trouble during an open bar! Once again, my review might not be typical of a regular night at the venue because I was there for an event with a special DJ (personal fav Brendon James!) and different then normal setup, but I could definitely see throwing an event there sometime. Anyways, the terrible part of this otherwise awesome night was the mandatory coatcheck - it was FREEZING. The guy at the door insisted that the heaters inside were "pumping," but once we got inside that was surely not the case! Things warmed up after the place got packed and teh dancing started, but when we went back to get our jackets, they lost my friend's $1000 moleskin jacket! Needless to say she wasn't too impressed - the girls at coatcheck lied and said there was no manager on the premisis to talk to and they'd take her contact information. I went back inside to find a manager (there HAD to be one!) and surely there was - a nice guy named Adrian who came out to help settle the matter. Unfortunaly the coat was still MIA and my friend had to go home in the sub zero temperatures fuming mad, but the manager (Adrian) promised that he would make things right when she contacts him today... so stay tuned for that! I'm NEVER doing mandatory coat check again!!!
