If Geno's put as much effort in their cheesesteaks as they do trying to break the Guiness World Record for the largest street light of all-time, then maybe I'd give them 2 stars.
by Audria Stahlman on As a bar, I give it 4 stars. At least for Tuesday night craziness. 1984 is too crowded and too many males in striped shirts. Weekends, also too crowded for me. But Tuesday nights have no cover, crazy dj's, and good kids. A lot of industry workers on their "weekend" night out, so no BS flies there. Some tuesdays are slow, some are packed, especially if there is a birthday party. They play anything from Skinny Puppy to Reverend Horton Heat to Cool and the Gang. Music snobs of any genre would not enjoy. But those who like to grind bootie to some old school and bang their heads to Guns N Roses, or drink very large glasses of $5 whiskey will love it. I must warn you, the people there are prone to sudden bouts of Scottish Bag Pipe songs and dancing on the bar. *edit - Tuesday night craziness may now, on rare occasion, include a Mechanical Bull. I shit you not!.
