by Donnie Arno on Let's get this out of the way right now: Medieval Times is *so* not period. So how did a couple where one is an ex-rennie and the other attended faires nearly since birth end up here? Some friends visited from out of town with a little boy in exactly the target market. If you feel mentally older than the target market, the bar is open long before the show doors open. Most of the choreography is quite good. The horses are mostly very well trained. Not many at level 5 (dressage) with a rider, but the ones on lead seem quite capable. The food is eh. If you're like me and insist on *seeing* your food before you eat it, bring a flashlight. The menu doesn't vary. *However*, if you request a gluten-free meal, they bring your food separately. That implies it was prepared separately and won't suffer cross contamination. The separation is a very, very nice and much appreciated touch. To repeat everyone else: There are plenty of deals. Don't buy full-price. And if hearing a king use first person grates on your ears, well, there is the bar.
by Augustus Capps on I remember when it was Bon Port, and it is now Blush, and it's better. The wines on offer are interesting, some quite good. Prices are fair. The settings, stools, couches, chairs, a couple of 4 tops and a big group table, are mostly hard surfaces. So are the walls and floors. The ceiling is bare and there are no soft furnishings / fabrics anywhere to absorb the din of sound that occurs when the place fills. And it does fill, to be sure, and that's totally deserved based on my experience last night. The server was prompt and responsive, and the kitchen was quick as well. Great tapenade, truly yummy, and the eggplant spread was good too. Lots of interesting foods on offer, and oysters too! My only suggestion would be to add some fabric at the back of the space cutting off the view of the toilet and service doors. This would improve the look from the street and soften the noise level. by Amy M. on This is more a review for the nightclub downstairs, Triumph Room. I have to say, Private Party + Open Bar = 5 stars however music - 1 star. No matter, we stil got our drink on while meeting some really cool Actors and a Producer whom I love!!! Annie, I love wrap parties - when are we going to the next one?
