A perfect, cozy venue for live music - we saw the Shout Out Louds here tonight and came away impressed. The interior is drop dead gorgeous as the building itself is very old, so the ceilings/balconies are gilded from some long lost past. Line management is smart, as they check your tickets/ID before door opening to save time. Acoustics/sound was top notch, as was the lighting and the staff. I'll definitely be checking out the schedule here to see what other of my favorite bands are playing here!

Warm bodies packed the area in front of the stage. The girl to my right looks faint, and crouches down to get some air. I am waiting for the guy to my right to spill his beer on me. But it's all in good fun. When the girl comes back up she is smiling and dancing. The beer stays in the fellow's bottle. I was surprised at the size of Bimbo's. The many rooms are interesting so be sure to wander and check out the fireplace, several bars, and artwork. Don't forget to look up and admire the lighting fixtures too. You won't find women in fish tanks any more, but it's still a unique venue! At the event we attended, all of the tables in the theater area were marked "reserved". I don't know what it takes to reserve a table, but I prefer to hang with the crowd anyways. If you need a break from the dance floor there are other rooms where there was open seating - if you see a table move quickly to snag it or be prepared to make new friends!
