by eric t. on Hiro is definitely one of my favorite clubs right now. I've been going here the last couple of Thursdays and it's ree-dunk-u-lous. I think everytime I've been here, I've had at least one celebrity sighting (the highlight being a brazilian Victoria's Secret supermodel... i literally rubbed elbows with her for 20 minutes, le sigh). Yeah, the drinks are pretty expensive here, but if you go on a thursday, they hook you up with an hour long open bar. The music is great, esp if you're into indie/european techno music (e.g. justice), and the people are sorta attractive here, I guess. Downsides: the staff can be rude sometimes and it can sometimes take 20-25 minutes to get a drink from the crowded bar. BUT, overall it's a very very fun time: free alcohol, hot people, good music- I sorta wish everyday was thursday.
by Tommy Crosman on I love this place!!! I celebrated my 26th Bday here last year!!! None of my friends got a problem getting in....all 30+ people that showed up. This place is seriously getting known right now. I first went here for Thanksgiving Eve a few years ago and told myself that I gotta go back. Place is really nice and classy!! Security was pretty strict but sometimes its worth it to keep everything in order. They let men in sneakers in which I didn't know about which was cool. There are many rooms to go to and dance in. There's a lounge area where you can hold a better conversation with ppl. The balcony area was cool!!!! Place is just elegant and I hope it stays that way!!! All the times I've gone were Friday nights. Crowd and music were always good!!!! I never had to wait too long in line. I gotta try the restaurant part one day.
