by Danny W. on checked out a 10 pm show last night and i had a great time. it's an intimate setting with a chill ambience. Every seat in the house possesses a good view of the stage. I saw Kyla Brox and Baby Gramps. gramps had a hilarious song where he would yell at "yearrrrggh" like a pirate. the table seating all throughout is excellent as you can kick back and enjoy the tunes while placing drink orders with the waitress.
by Eusebio Valcourt on 1st thursday of every month Sounds of Brazil host Basement Bhangra hosted by DJ Rekha. nearing almost 10 years of existence, we headed over there last night with a huge group. Got there around 11.30, driving by it we saw a never ending line going around the block. I was like fok!! oh well i was with my wife and broda inlaw , he knows the bouncers there. Not tonight buddy, it was chilly and i had no jacket, just a shirt but the 4 large shots of JACK kept me warm for a good while. anyways the bouncer pulled out an old trick in the book and told all the patrons in the line that the club was closed for the night, which let to so many folks( chutia banaya) leaving and within 10- minutes me n pam were all the way in the front.another 5 minutes and the effects of JACK were wearing off. we finally got in, so did our whole crew and danced the night off doing bhangra. the place was crowded like crazy as usual, we all had a lot of fun, i almost knocked a couple of guys out cause they were like comin upto all the girls who were with us. thanks pam for holding me back. over all a fun night, good we went cause we cannot attend the 10th anniv. party on the 20th.
