Are you a cute girl looking for a guy to dance with?  Hit me up. I usually have a great time at Boulevard3. Pros: + Easy to get in (just get on the guestlist and you'll be fine) + free chocolate-covered strawberries and free tacos Cons: - the dance floor doesn't really get going until 1115-1130. - bottle service is not worth it (they don't protect it enough and the seating is not commanding enough)

If you're not into Techno/House/Dub-step music, get yo butt the F*** out to somewhere else you may think is ~~"classy"~~ aka boring. This has got to be the best 18+ spot on Fridays.  You won't see too many small girls in skinny jeans and vans here.  You won't see as many high school boys with neon neck scarves here either.  You probably won't see as many Kandi kids as other 18+ dance clubs, which is ALL GOOD.  Although this is a techno club on weekends, it's not a rave!  Nobody dresses like a rainbow here and rarely anybody shuffles, which is ALL GOOD too!  If you want a light show, forget looking for some dude "practicing" with his finger lights.  Relax on one of their comfy couches and enjoy the "light shows" on the ceiling =). The main stage was playing mostly Dub-step music.  It is dup-step heaven in there!  Your body will feel as if you're living vicariously through the music and it'll feel so fucking good, you'll wet your pants =).  They have multiple stages and each stage is filled with hott, hott girls and guys.  Girls are more friendly here (well at least to me) and they're willing to dance with other girls (maybe some guys) and converse!  Guys will be guys!  I don't understand how girls go to a club and expect every guy to be on their prude behavior.  You don't go to Avalon to behave, you go to misbehave *winks."  Just trust the music and dance!  We're all in for a good time, "cracked out" or not!  (This is Los Angeles, you can't go clubbin expecting people to ONLY be drunk)  If you're a girl, go dance with a guy (they're mostly hott) and forget what your girlfriends may think of you!  At least you're having fun!  If you don't wanna reject dance offers from 20 guys, bring your guy friend(s )with you so nobody comes up to yo ass! One thing I like about this club is that there are all kinds of people here.  There's more mature young adults than teeny kids here though.  The restrooms are clean and super cute.  They have super huge mirrors, just don't talk to them by accident like I did LOL.  If you use it after 2am, the line won't be as long and you wont have anything to complain about.  The male bartenders will be nice enough to give a girl water if you demand sweetly =). We arrived to the club around 11:30 and the line was short and ran smoothly.  I guess if you RSVP to get in for $5-10 cheaper, line is super ridiculously long before 10:30-11pm.  Normally, standard cover is $20-30 This is the place to roam about if you're a night-owl techno head.

After Kia's oh so interesting lunch at Gold Club and several rounds of drinks after, I venture home for a much needed slumber at 6:00 in the early evening....only to come out well (or well enough) rested for a night at 111 Minna. As a beer/shot drinker myself, I don't venture into the mixed stuff that often so commentary will be at a minimum about the mixed (though Erin says the Tokyo Teas are worth it)...but the beer was cold and the shots were full a 1.5 oz. (Beer = $5 including tip). At 12:00 Kia's dinner party shows up and the dancing ensues.....energetic crowd, great DJs spinning the real old school hip hop, and lots of drinks....the night couldn't be better....well except for the fact that the main room was way too bright. I'll have to check out Wed nights some time.
