For me and my crew, there's one place to fuel up before an extended romp through the bars of the Mission district: Little Baobob. Lets just go down the list, shall we? Drinks: There are all kinds of insaine specialty cocktails here that my crew and I treasure. They are both flowery and deadly. Food: So I order the Chicken Mafi evey time we go here. I know for a fact that rest of thier menu is just as delicious (I've snatched my fair share of bites from friends' plates), but the Mafi sauce just kills me everytime. The guys here are always happy to give us extra sauce when we ask for it. Chicken Mafi: Know it, love it, eat it. Atmosphere: It's hot, it's sexy, and there's always a great vibe going down. Do not go to Little Baobab expecting to find unhappy people. It's just not going to happen.

I give this 5 stars because I had such a great time, had good food, saw an amazing performance that I will not forget, and can't wait to return with my significant other and friends who have not been there. I was skeptical because of the other reviews, but did not have bad luck. I had the biscuits & blues salad which including amazing sugar and cinnamon crusted walnuts, apple, blue cheese and fresh mixed greens with fried chicken on top (they have grilled but figured while in Rome...) and I was pleased. I was with 2 natives and 3 transplants and we were all surprised we had not heard of this place or seen it because it was really great. The lead singer walked around the room and sang without his mic and it sounded amazing because the room is small enough for that but not claustrophobic. There were some fun middle aged women getting down in the back and other interesting people to watch. All around good time!
