Lime is a brunch place for hardcore partiers located in the Castro. Parking is bad here. With that said, I'll go ahead and break down my review by the environment/decor, service, and quality of food. Environment: This place is basically like a bar/club/lounge in the morning. You've got your little lounge seating area that has couches and furry walls and crazy girls dancing on top of the couches. Then you have the bar, and then you have a row of tables that go alllllll the way down the restaurant. The seats are white faux leather and the tables are white. The bar has a pink mirror background on it and it just glistens. It's super modern and I really do like the decor. One thing I didn't like was the loud loud loud music. Usually I like to have a nice peaceful brunch where you can have good conversations, you probably won't be able to do that at this place unless you wanna lose your voice. Service: The staff here is pretty friendly, they'll keep coming around to refill your bottomless mimosas for $7. Sometimes if it gets a little too busy, they do take longer to come around, but you can just flag someone down and they'll be happy to refill your drink. Quality of Food: Like someone said, this place is only for the boozy part of brunch because they do forget the most important part: Food. The food was bad. The biscuits that they give you to start where just Ok, not the best biscuit I've had. I had the steak and eggs, asked for eggs over easy but they gave me sunny side up and it was a bit undone since the top was still "boogery" and slimy. Dislike. They don't give you steak knives so cutting through the steak was very hard. The steak was 1/4 lb, and it had a tendon/muscle that ran right through. Not good. The potatoes that came with the dish was a bit too salty and over done. I think the reason why the food is so bad is because most of the time people come here and get so drunk that they don't notice the quality of the food, but for someone who didn't drink that day, the food was just bad. The bf drank...A LOT and still said the food wasn't that great so there you have it. Overall, I guess Lime doesn't really need to change what they serve, because they do get a lot of customers. The line is always long and you'll have to make reservaitons way in advance or come to the door in the morning before they open and join the long line of people without reservations. They serve brunch in 2 hour rounds so once your 2 hours is up, you'll need to leave or go party in the lounge. I'd only go here again if I wanted to get drunk in the morning with friends.

I've been here twice (once with a group and once alone) and both times it was a really cool place to hang out. It gets busy but the bartender was great about getting us drinks pretty quickly without seeming too stressed. They never gave me change but it's ok, only a couple bucks. They had good music going, including Michael Jackson, but there wasn't really any room to dance. It was a very good vibe with very good prices. Make sure to check this place out.

Again, utilizing my 5-checks method for ease of reading: Food: Not sure, went for the bar scene Bar: Circular to invite socializing, but not good when the bartender works the curve away from you. My friend was probably waiting 15 minutes to get a drink. People: Mediocre, although I ran into an ex. Not good. Music: Not bad, but too darn loud. I was literally yelling at people standing right next to me. Environs: Modern day glow with white. Space Odyssey. On my way out, I ran into 5 others I have not seen in 5 years. Hmm. Wonder what that means ;)
