by Jennifer P. on This place is fun when you go with a group. The music is great, also you have to know the theme of the night before going there. It is a great location. I would come back here again.
by Dusty Tuminello on I could not remember the name of this place, so I was looking all over rateclubs for a picture of some bar with a that had an entrance similar to the one Batman goes through to get to the bat-cave, but with a hint of redneck aluminum siding and intimidating 7 foot tall overweight bouncers standing out front. I remember walking up to the place and thinking that my friends were dragging me to some underground illegal drug haven when we approached the entrance, but after walking down the stairs into the bar and lounge area I realized what kind of bar I had arrived at. I believe the theme behind MJQ is to make the place look like the room of an artist who still lives with his parents in their basement, so he makes the best of it and decorates the place with different colored rooms that have varying themes. Throw up a few pictures of some of the celebrities that have hung out at the place to make your friends think you are the cat's meow, and wa-lah, you have MJQ. The place is not all that bad though. They did have a pretty decent music selection playing a majority of the night. They also have an old school Nintendo for drunken gamers to enjoy located next to the television that is usually playing an old and weird kung-fu movie. The crowd at MJQ on the particular night that I stopped by was pretty cool. Not many people really seemed to be dancing to the music, but I prefer for it to be that way because that means there will be less of a chance that I get dragged on the dance floor. It is not that I hate dancing, it is just that I am so good as soon as everyone notices my diamond studded gloved finger snapping to the beat of my wild twirling feet, they will instantly become insecure with how mediocre their dance moves are compared to mine.
