The clam bake will make you smack and chew like a pig and I peeped a group of folks with a veritable canoe full of chips and guac. The drinks are decent and not too severely priced. The crowd is always really chill and there's live music sometimes and a dance floor! This is a must for those hot summer nights when you want to be out but totally relaxed. PS: Try to get a seat at the very top of the white tugboat, skip the big patio above the stage. PPS: Pee before you get there, bathrooms are sketchy and gross and a treacherous downhill climb, especially after you've been liquorfied.

My pantyhose have a run and I think I just broke a nail. But it is payday and how shall I get over this horrid horrid week? Oh yes... Popstarz. If you're like me you love to dance. You love to down a couple drinks and hit a dancefloor with a dozen or so friends. You like to watch as people you love climb up on metal risers in the middle of the club and dance dirty to every pop diva there is. If you're a girl like me, you want to get crazy and have fun with tons of people around you, but still have space to dance. If you're a girl like me--- you love Popstarz. Pros: TONS of space Fun, energetic crowd Upbeat dance-y music you know the words to Nice wait-staff Cushy couches to collapse on Big, clean bathrooms Decent sized patio Close to other bars so perfect way to end a bar crawl CONS: Expensive drinks High cover HUGE re-entrance stamp No "open tab" policy- you must cash out every time OTHER STUFF: I told a lesbian friend of mine there was generally a "mixed" crowd at Popstarz. I meant there were more women than average at a gay club. She was highly disappointed that the "mix" seemed to be gay men, straight women and possibly two lesbians other than herself. For some, that's a con. For others, a pro. You decide.
