This is a review of Drais Hollywood RESTAURANT.. NOT THE CLUB! The food there is good. Not too over priced. The most expensive dish is the American Kobe Steak at about $75. I ordered the 6 oz. Fillet which was moderately priced at $29. A couple employees I know were raving about the Lobster Risotto which was about $36 and my two girlfriends absolutely LOVED IT! The size isn't too big so if you're a big guy, it won't be too filling for ya. Their side dishes are very good. Portions are too big but if you get two sides you can split with two people. Sides we tried, steamed spinach, sweet potato fries, Drais potato, mash potato, all around $8 and worth it. My fillet was tender and perfectly cooked. Everyone else enjoyed their dishes. The free range chicken was moist and juicy. Their wine selection is pretty good. And for desert we ordered a fruit platter which had an arrangement of orange, pineapple, strawberries and blackberries which was all very fresh and sweet. VENUE/AMBIANCE: This place is gorgeous. I say that it's like Tryst, XS and Drais (Vegas) had a baby and that's what it reminds you of. Dance floor is kinda small and it gets really crowded so it's hard to walk to the main bar and to the bathroom, tables are highly recommended. My suggestion is to go the bar by the pool by the back bathrooms. There are 2 bartenders there and only 3 at the larger main bar. Half indoor and outdoor, there is a huge pool, which is open during the day and on Sundays play House Music, which I love! The cabana's that surround the pool give it an XS feel and with a view of Downtown it's nice. During the day you can see the Hollywood sign.. and Drais is Def Hollywood! I recommend this restaurant, and nightclub is a must, newest hottest spot right now. Do not get discouraged by the long lines.. as everyone is trying to get in. You should see if you know someone. Luckily all my host friends from Vegas (XS Drais and Tryst) came over to open the club. Holler at them.

Ask at the door when they will be closing before you pay the cover. Since they advertize 3:30 but actually start herding people out right before 3am. I went to the mansion with 4 of my friends. We paid at the door thinking that we would be there for 45min. Of course the staff didn't say shit. Two of my friends approached the bar, one downstairs and one upstairs to order drinks. They were not told of the 40$ minimum on credits cards till after ording. They were both forced to order 4 to 5 more drink to meet the minimum. ( I'm sure LCB would not approve.) After 10mins the staff turned on the lights and told people to leave. We were 2 sips into the 12 drinks we were hustled into buying. Not to mention the money we dropped at the door to be inside for 10mins. We then asked to speak with the manager, but he refused to speak with us. Very rude management and staff. I would not suggest anyone go to this place.
