by Aleida Kovats on I've been dying to try this place even before they opened. I finally did a few days ago. They seem to have a steady crowd. The seating area upstairs is warmly lit with tealights everywhere. The seats are more comfortable than they look. The food is yummy and not expensive or pretentious. (Supposedly they had to price their menu adequately because of its location.) They feature a mediterranean fusion menu with pretty elaborate descriptions. I had the pork tenderloin - yum! And the flourless chocolate cake with tobacco -infused ice cream. I wanted to try everything on their late night chocolate menu! On the minus side, the service was horrible! We waited for almost an hour when we were promised it wouldn't be more than 15 minutes. No one came to check on us while we waited. When we were finally seated, the server took forever to take our orders, then forgot the drinks we ordered. She never came around to check on us either. They were out of a few things on their menu, which was disappointing since their menu isn't very big anyway. This was on a Thursday night. Wouldn't like to see what it is like on a weekend. I'd probably give it another shot but with hesitation.
by chase w. on Eh, I've really only been here before or after a sox game, or to watch the sox as I'm not really a 'clubby' type of guy, but it's basically your run of hte mill landsdowne type place- it's got loud music, plasic cups, and tons of teenies hanging out. It's good because it's big if you dont' want to deal with getting bumped into, the TV's are great, and it has the perk of having an out door patio... but it's nothing special. If you're with a big group, stop in before the game to check it out to see what you think. It's not a bad alternative towaiting in line to the Cask 'n Club I mean flagon. (they ruined that place by the way).
