But we ran across ALL types in here, mixing in between the tables (once we were actually able to get dibs on TWO!). Even exchanged info w/ a few people and met up later ... so there are geniuenly friendly people about. Maybe it was just the weather ;) And for everyone bitching about the $35 buckets? It comes out to less than 6 bucks for a Corona. Point to whatever dive bar special you want, but that is not unusual for Manhattan. And it's certainly cheaper than anywhere else with this sort of view and vibe. There is NO better place to day drink and this still ranks up with any outdoor place with a view. Ok, in the summer anyway. I've heard they have DJs, but for whatever reason, I've never actually SEEN any. Oh, ok, ONE con (aside from the people who relish ripping on other people having a good time, as seen in other reviews) ... The bathrooms are fucking RANK. There is like ... water, piss, shit ... no idea, built up UNDER the floor boards. As in, you can literally see the brown swill just sitting there, stagnant, swaying a bit with the rest of the place. Someone needs to pump that shit out, STAT. Guys have to piss into basically what amounts to big ass rusty pipes turned into troughs. The toilet stalls are nicer, but still REEK. Having vented out about that, I'm no stranger to terrible smelling places with even worse bathrooms. They're old ass boats, what do you expect? Though I find it absolutely fucking hilarious that they have a foos-ball table setup outside of it on the one boat ... with a monster fan next to that, attempting to keep things ventilated. Like ANYONE is going to subject their noses to that shit long enough to skunk a bitch.
by Reed B. on Crappy concert venue - bad acoustics on the second floor, NO AC to speak of and $5 waters. Unless I had to go back because of the artist I would not be caught dead here again. Oh - and the bartenders that need to sell you the $5 water that you need because you are completely drenched in sweat are too busy standing on the bar to watch the concert than to help you.
by hangingout on This establishment does not exist anymore. It is a house, at least 25 years old, with an old couple named Frank and Betty who live there. For some reason, someone posted their address as a place called AudioRainbow Entertainment. The only confusing thing is that the neighborhood isn't new, so I don't understand why someone who list it unless there is something seriously discreet going on. But who is going to go knocking on doors right?

Cool and elegant atmosphere, quality food, but the overcrowding and service keeps it from getting give stars for me. The food has always been great and consistently pleasing for me. The hanger steak and frites is good, although it's a mountainous portion of frites in comparison to a relatively small steak. The service deteriorates the busier they get. They will also jam about two or three too many people into a table when they're busy. Be prepared to be VERY close to your table mates if you have more than two people in your party. This place was also the site of my favorite random overheard conversation in the last year. As my group was leaving we got to witness a Buckhead Betty in the making have a meltdown at the front door. No clue what caused it, but this early 30 something woman started going off on someone who had slighted her as they left. Quote at the top of her lungs: "I drive a Mercedes! I live in a two million dollar house! I don't have to take this from you!" I broke down and started crying I was laughing so hard. Which didn't really make her any less angry.
