by Dwain Diltz on The Final Final has been my college football bar for years. Somehow, the wait staff always gets our drinks and weaves through the packed bar. For some reason, the Texas alumni have stopped going there, and I refuse to go anywhere else. The Final Final has been great. The food is not so good but you can bring in your own.
by Matt C. on The Junior Prom of Night Clubs Vessel seems to have forgotten that the foundation of nightlife is alcohol consumption plus they have no idea what class is. A) The bar is tucked literally behind the stairss as an afterthought making the transition from getting a drink to hitting the dance floor somewhat awkward. B) Never before have I been to a bar with such huge hype that serves some of its drinks in plastic cups (real classy guys). C) In most clubs Last Call means that they are going to stop serving drinks shortly, at Vessel it means that the bar backs will walk onto the dance floor with buckets confiscating drinks as it approaches 2am. In addition the doorman is needlessly pretentious and there isn't enough variety in the music. I do like the platforms around the couches in the lounge area that induce girls dancing on tables; however Vessel's the type of place that would stop you if things got to wild.
