3.5 Stars. As an out of town guest, this hotel is a bit far from downtown Atlanta. Than again, I have no problem with such things if there is decent public transportation near by and Marta is close. Atlanta driving can be as bad as LA. This is a W so it was that clubish vive. This Living Room and Savu Restaurant are small and a little more open. There is no inhouse nick-nack shop. There is a patio with wood burning pits. Drinks were reasonable priced and comparable to places in the area. Rooms are nice I had flat screen with HD which was nice for Saturday afternoon college football. It was nicely decorated and spacious. The Kitchentte was a bonus. I was able to host a birthday party late night after dinner without disturbing my friends sleeping in the bedroom. The music playing over the hotel channel was cool as background music. The location near Perimeter Mall, nice restaurants, shopping and MARTA make the place seem less remote. Now I could have rated this place higher excpet a few things. It still has a feel that it was something else prior and shows in it's elevators(complete with incesense). Security lapse that cause a laptop to be taken once the room was set, locked and to remain so until we returned. Note the management staff did everything they could to try and find the computer to no avail. Still pending.

So I like this place a lot, especially when I know who is playing and the price can be worth the venue. So its 20 in, sometimes it keeps out the sleezy guys who don't want to pay that much, sometimes not. I would like to think that it does, since I haven't been man handled here unlike some other places, but that is just my experience. Usually the staff has been really nice from the bouncers, coat check girls to the bartenders, though yes I've gotten some attitude from one whom I therefore didn't tip and just went upstairs. The drinks are a bit pricey, but you are downtown, in sf, its Saturday and they already know you've paid 20 to get in. But it doesn't bother me and no I am not made of money. The place is upscale, clean, nice, good atmosphere, great sound system, two dance floors, both are pretty big. Its all red lit and has a good vibe. There's also a smoking room, that keeps the windows open to let it all out and you can get a view of the outside. Tips: Guestlist, they offer it for some nights, but you have to do the whole email thing, well worth it, its also plus 3 friends. Park at Ofarrell, its 12 for the night, lit, close, easy and reasonable for the city. Get stamped early, go to another bar, like swig or something and come back and just walk in through the middle without waiting.
