by Nan Wilday on Bobby's is definitely a great burger and quite possibly one of the best I've ever had ( I'm from so-cal and yes better than In N Out). Been in Philly for less than a few weeks and have already returned twice. The first time I tried the buffalo burger and the second time, I tried the burger of the month. The meat quality is excellent, and surprisingly how well they cooked the burger and how fast the service was for a burger of this quality. I enjoy the second burger crunchified.. but wouldn't recommend it only because the meat tastes great as is and adding the chips sort of distracted from the great taste. Also the amount of sauces and dips is amazing.
by Sarah C. on I love national mechanics! It's the kind of bar you go to, that not only has great atmosphere, a great regular crowd, but also great food, and something for everyone. Of course they have your traditional bar basics, but they also have a full menu with tons of great things to try. I do have to say one thing...I have read in a lot of reviews about the "best veggie burger ever" and National also boasts this on their menu. I will just say that I am NOT a fan of the veggie burger. As a vegetarian myself I tend to like veggie burgers of the black bean varity best. Be warned, this burger is a bunch of shredded up veggies shaped into a patty. Not my fav. The fact that it made me sick probably didn't go over well either. But everything else I have ever had at national has been great!
