by Maxwell Batalla on I wet to Prana to celebrate yet another birthday. It was fun because good company makes up for everything. The ambiance is nice, so is the lighting. If your a lighting person like me, this is a good place.There are lots of candles and cozy white booths. We sat in the middle of the soon to be dance floor. I will talk about that later. The food was not as good as i thought it would be. I was not that hungry but i ordered some starters. Calamari and Indian Curry w/Nan. The Calamari was good but of course it was, it was fried. The curry was bland and taste like curry baby food. DO NOT ORDER THIS!!!! Go to Nan and Curry for that. YUMMY!!!! However, i tasted the KOBE Burger and iit was really good. They do give a free dessert to share. it was like a mousse cake. IT was ok. It becomes uncomfortable around 10pm. because the place turns into Club Temple. I was annoyed by being rushed. It seems to be the same experience for many others who have rateclubsed this place. There are mostly asian people who go to this club. I personally like m ore diversity. Oh, they have dancers too. Is that typical? I guess i need to get out more. Well, we checked out the downstairs dance rooms and there was one that had whhite couches and neon lights. Very cool looking but everyone looked really unhappy in there. It wasn't exactly Jump'n in any room. We proceeded to leave out the exit. On our way to Cheese cake factory for dessert!! tootles. Oh. P. S the hostess there, I forgot her name. She has red wavy hair. She is VERY NICe. ASk for the red head. She will make sure your happy and OH...You HAVE TO order PRIX Fixe meals. It averages out $25 a pop.
by A C. on I really liked the food and service here. The ambiance was more like a club, very modern, hip and enjoyable, but different from usual restaurant decor. Their DJ was playing enjoyable music in the background, not too loud. We ordered: 1. The chicken curry empanadas - appetizer 2. Butternut Squash soup with cheese wontons 3. Sweet potato gnocchi 4. North Indian vegetable curry and Naan 5. Banana-coconut bread pudding for dessert 6. "The Devil made me do it" signature cocktail All the dishes were delicious, flavorful, well-prepared and beautifully presented. The ingredients used seemed very fresh. The prices were reasonable for the quantity and quality. The one drink we ordered seemed slightly expensive for what we received but it probably had some expensive liquor in it. On our way out, the manager hooked us up with free tickets to come back to the nightclub. Overall, we liked it a lot and will be back.
by Nathanael Stoops on i went here on a monday night for my birthday and the place with packed. on a monday night. who are these people? do they have jobs? amazing. this is a really beautiful and so-over-done space (topped off with a giant buddha in the back of the space). as one of my friends accurately described: the space makes you feel like a giant orgy is waiting to break out at any second. unfortunately, it must have happened after we left. i just had a beer so can't comment on drinks / food.
