The idea of a Supper Club is cool. But it's less about the Supper and more about the Club from my experience.

I like unique properties. So, on a recent trip through San Fran I chose the Phoenix Hotel as a stopping point for a night because we went out of the city a few days and had a rental car. We didn't want to spring for overnight parking costs at other hotels and it was included at the Phoenix. It definitely has character. Yes, it's in the tenderloin so you'll see some interesting things on the way to the hotel, but doesn't that just add to the experience? It was dead quiet when we arrived on a Monday at around 11PM. The bathrooms/showers needed some upgrading for sure. The next morning we passed on the breakfast but it looked OK. I can say I've experienced it, but I'm not sure I'd be back!

Last time I was in this venue I was blacked out on too much tequila, so I sorta missed the whole Dinosaur Jr. revival tour which is depressing, cause DJ reminds me of love at at 15.  This is by far my most favoritest venue ever in the whole world, I actually want to wrap my arms and legs and head and fingers and antenna around it and squeeze it so hard that it collapses and I put it my pocket and pop it out at parties and we all go inside and then Sonic Youth gets on the stage and the Pixies reunite and we all pee our pants.
