When I walked in and saw everyone in the leggings, shades, headbands and oversized shirts, I thought man, if I ever accidentally walk into another eighties party again, I'm gonna-- but then I got rickrolled on the dance floor, and everything was alright.
by Samantha M. on I love El Rio! Great people, great (moderately priced) drinks, great vibe, great patio, great everything! I love the atmosphere there, and I have never been somewhere on a MONDAY that has been that busy. The have great drink specials, and they often have FREE food as well outside if you want it. I usually go there friday with my bf where he spends a lot of time getting drunk and playing pool with his friends, or we hang out on the outside on nicer days and just talk. Gotta love those heat lamps! Often they have various shows in another room... and get this, SALSA on Sundays! Everytime I have been to El Rio I have encountered crowds with a really wonderful vibe. Everyone is friendly and totally down for having a good time! Utterly fantastic place, couldn't reccomend it more! Plus it's right next to Roccapulco so I can go from the bar straight to the dance floor, or vice versa!)
by Luciana Kruchten on okay actually this is my overall rating but if i had to break it down one star for the tonic making my ketel one and tonic tasting soapy - no matter how many times i had to send it back. Four stars for the food - I tell ya the mozzarella sticks were LOG sized, One star for the whack ass music being played in the upstairs room with the stipper poles. Oh and just because you are swinging around the poles doesn't make you a Huster Honey! And watch out because those BITCHES don't look where there swinging! And a two star for the guy that spins on Friday/Saturday nights in the main room - his selection is decent and he's pretty cute - which always gets you an extra star! PS - i miss the old Bruno's =(
