Mykonos is a great Greek Restaurant. We drive by Mykonos every time we stay in Atlanta, so tonight we pulled on in and tried it out. Parking was easy. We walked in and there were several other groups eating. We were seated quickly. We sat right by the live music for the night. Two older gentlemen were playing live music. The desserts were also on display in our eating area. They all looked delicious. Also they had football on several TV's near the bar, if you wanted to watch it. We ordered the Kalamarakia Rafinas for our appetizer (pan fried squidi). It was good. I really like the marinara type of sauce they served with the Kalamaraki. It had a really good flavor that was not too strong. They also have Guiness on tap at Mykonos, so of course we sampled the Guiness. They serve their Greek homemade bread with garlic and olive oil, which was very good. I also had a soup with my meal. The soup had chicken and rice in it. It was really good. The chicken was tendered, and the rice was really soft. We tired the lamb and the grilled chicken both were very good. The chicken was served with sausage. The lamb was cooked to perfection. They told us upfront that we would have to wait 20 min's on the chicken, because they cook it to order. It was worth the wait. As I mentioned when we arrived I noticed the dessert display right away. I tried the chocolate cake. It had this rich fudge icing. One lawyer was this type of brownie cake -- DELICIOUS ! The other two layers were moist chocolate cake. It was a mix of hot fudge, brownie and chocolate cake. I highly recommend this dessert. After we finished our main meal and dessert we had a fresh plate of fruit. The fruit plate was full of fresh strawberry's, kiwi, oranges, grapes, and watermelon. The fresh fruit was a great way to end the evening. There were several families dinning here. The service was great. The bathroom was really, really, clean. I really enjoyed the atmosphere at Mykonos.

Inside is beautiful, employees are too cool for school. Went here for a concert recently and didn't love my experience. Here's why: 1) Called to see what time the band went on and the message said to check the website (I left a voicemail asking for a callback and never received one.) The website said the show started at 10. Luckily I follow the band on Twitter and they posted that the show started at 8:00. Good thing I didn't listen to the website, I would have missed the whole show! 2) A guy in front of me bought tickets for the show not realizing it was 21 plus (he was only 20). He brought along 2 friends who were over 21 hoping to pick up the tickets and give them to his friends. No go. Bouncer said "no transfers" and despite a little begging, he turned all three people away and the tickets went to waste. If I were in the band that was playing, I would be pissed! 3) $14 for 2 Dos Equis. Really? Is this Manhattan? 4) It's a great venue that has a lot of potential, but I was really turned off by the customer service (or lack thereof) and staff.

It's a cool spot... nice dance floor, smoking patio is big, drinks are strong and came fast.. saw them filming an episode of the hills last time I was there... the girls are hot, and a younger trendier crowd. . all very friendly.. a fight did break out in the smoking patio and my drink got spilled, so I poured the rest out on the guys head.. but security was quick to remove the troublemakers and replace my friends bottle of goose that broke. Highly recommended.
