by Lyn N. on This is probably a very historic place to eat on a late night given the pictures and stuff you see when you walk in the door. However, I think it is overrated. Like most diners, this place is also 24hrs, which is a definite plus, but the service, food, and cleanliness isn't all that great. Although I have to admit, there has been a time when I had a good server who was somewhat attentive. For those partying off of N. Highlands, this is definitely a convenient location even if you need to walk, but the area is a little questionable. Parking is very limited so expect to park in some shady alley down the street. The food is usually greasy unless you get a salad, which in this case, isn't very fresh and tastes like cardboard. The only good thing are the croutons that go on the salad. Food options are limited (won't be finding pasta dishes and Gyros here) as well as overpriced for what it is worth compared to other ATL diners. If I ever come here, it will be for the drinks and shakes. It's hard to mess something like that up.
by Dick Meddaugh on if taste was the only criteria i used in rating restaurants, this place would've definitely gotten less than 4 stars, but the decor made up for it. love the bar/lounge area....it was bit loud so my voice was almost gone by the end of the evening from having to talk over all the noise. skip the steak and go for the banana cream desert!
by Geraldo Heagy on Quite possibly my favorite happy hour spot in the city. I always have a good time here! Why, you ask!? 1. there's so much space! i hate going to happy hours where you can barely move, and people can't help but to whisper sweet nothings in your ear because there's no space! 2. i love the art gallery aspect of it. it's very different from other bars because of this, and it gives you something to look at and talk about. 3. the crowd is great too, as the art gallery and the fidi location bring a diversity of people ranging from art students to yuppies after work. 4. they usually have a dj spinning good hip hop to get the party started. what more can i say?! i love 111 minna!
