by Sarah T. on Our friend Kiyo took us here not to long ago. It was a wonderful experience and the food was amazing. It's a small intimate restaurant with subtle decor, very elegant and tasteful. There is a fair amount of sushi bar seating which was nice to see. Started off with a roe and jellyfish. Both were very fresh tasting and quite good. Went well with the Sapporo Premium beer that we were drinking. The squid was amazing, as was the chicken karaage whose flavor and texture was really well done. The beef tataki was also very good. The sashimi plate was artfully presented and very fresh. Chef's choice assortment and it was all very good and high quality. This was one of my favorites of the evening. The sweet shrimp tempura...we had already dived in before I remembered to take the picture lol. I'm usually not a fan of shrimp tempura, but this one was just really tender and yummy. I enjoyed it very much. Kiyo loves to order the really simple pure sushi rolls. And as I am an absolute addict for Hamachi(yellow tail), Kiyo always orders a set of rolls for me. There is the tuna roll, straight up tuna and rice completely unadulterated, and the other is Hamachi with scallions. Perfect combination. And so so good. Melt in your mouth good. The nigiri plate. Ahh...such good stuff all in one place. Although I have to say I'm not a fan of Uni. Kiyo adores it, and dreams off drowning in uni. My husband also is a big fan stating "It's a festival on your tongue." I, however, find the bursting and goo sensation icky. Everything else on that plate however was absolutely drool worthy. Especially the Hamachi, but again, I'm biased ^.^ I'm a big fan of the glasses they used for the sake we drank. We had amazing sake, one of Kiyo's recommendations. The glass was so pretty with the raised flower on it. Everyone was very polite and accommodating, giving off a warm atmosphere. It's nice to go to a place where the wait staff make you feel comfortable and at ease. My husband and I like to linger at restaurants when we go with friends, so it is enjoyable to not have that rushed feeling. We will definitely be going back.
by Zack E. on Best place in town to watch a soccer game. Their food is very good (specifically the Irish Breakfast), the atmosphere is top notch and they have a Black and Tan brownie with Guinness ice-cream to die for. I've yet to make it out to their new building, but I can't wait.
by Stanley Lenhart on Very lame and it causes traffic to back up on 10th avnue with all the idiots in the streets or the line of cab drivers trying to pick up drunks to rip off by running them all over town to run up the fare. The place was a typical mix of B&T and then the guys making $60,000 who THINK they are someone making $600,000/year. Sorry I steped on your monogram Gucci shoes while walking through the crowd...but, please watch your drink around MY Gucci suit. $50 credit card min? Go F yourself.
