by Sascha M. on Used to be super pretentious which I actually prefer to what it is now. Now they let in "grenades" It's only worth going if you know someone who has a table here, otherwise it's time has passed. Who wants to get their Giuseppe Zanotti booties trashed when the booze isn't even free.
by tracy M. on I have had much better "Cuban" food at other places. The shrimp was overcooked, the chicken burned, and the salad drowned. Everything was overcooked and overpriced. Decide- are you a restaurant with good food worth the $13 and up menu, or are you a night club. Epic fail at trying to be both. also- chicken "Satay"? is that Cuban???? I don't think so. I was embarrassed that I had suggested it for a friend birthday dinner. The service was at a snail's pace, even though there was only 1 other table of people eating. He was nice, but helped himself to an entirely to large a tip, as he didn't bring the change back, and we didn't realize it till too late, as we wanted to escape the repetitive, overly loud music. The Mojitos were good, but not worth $6.

Think Double Seven (yes they're closed) but sexier and further downtown... Uuber private, super sultry, upscale loungy bar with a guest list. That's right don't expect to get in if you're not on it -- so if you're interested in spending time here plan accordingly. Date Rating: 8 Pick up Scale: 6 (Depends on the night but this place seems to be a great place to bring your party... not go looking for one) Strong suggestions: Be on the list or don't bother.
