by Sascha M. on I was pretty bummed when Ono closed. However Provocateur made be like Ono what?!?!?!! Really pretty cute set-up. Love the garden. Pretty good crowd , strong drinks, banquettes for my partner in crime and me to dance on...what more can you ask for?
by Dave A. on Yep, reviewing an airport food stand... So I had heard all about Salt Lick from folks in Austin and California, and I knew they had a stand at the airport. So as we waited for our flight out I reserved a little extra time and room from some BBQ. The menu is limited and the prices airport high (after checking their restaurant menu I think their prices are just high all around), but the food was a welcome contrast to the usual miserable fare you find inmost terminals. I had the brisket sandwich which at $9 got me a sammich and a pickle. The roll to begin with was actually outstanding, some kinda sweet roll, moist with a great texture. The brisket was lean, and yet moist. And the sauce was an interesting, almost honey mustard-esque flavor that made a tangy contrast to the smokey meat. I'll definitely need to make a stop at their restaurant to have a more informed opinion, but as far as Salt Lick AUS is concerned it is a win.
by Bernard Tartaglino on I've only been once on a Sat night when it is "Bank" (gay night). Venue is pretty big and multiple areas to go if you get sick of one. Not the biggest fan of big dance clubs, prefer lounges, but I did enjoy it.
