The service killed this rating. No one acknowledged our table for 12 minutes, which can feel like 30 minutes when you're waiting for service. Server who finally showed up was nice but was either overwhelmed or just not in the mood to be there. The bread and dip thing they serve in the beginning was the best thing we had all night. The drinks were decent and we also really enjoyed the asparagus ... but everything else was just OK. Didn't meet my expectations. Lots of song and dance, no substance.

when in doubt, go to third floor. that is, if you're korean. i'll skip the review about how good this place can be during peak hours or how detrimental it can also be after their 2 for 1 carbomb deals. but instead, i will review about their tuesday happy hour deal as well as their daily specials. tuesday happy hour deal is one of the best in the city: $16 (i think. unless it went up recently) for all you can eat (fried chicken & tonkatsu) and drink (beer & wine) from 5-8pm. of course, especially in the summer when college kids seem to take over ktown at all hours of the day, it's almost impossible to score a table unless you arrive at 5pm but if you can, it's definitely worth the loud noise, slow service, and endless beer & wine. people have complained a lot about their service but honestly, what do you expect when you see every single table filled to the max who all come at the same time and are all ordering the same food simultaneously? unless you'd like for them to pre-make the food and re-heat so that it can be delivered to your table in a timely manner, i don't see why there is a need for a complain. and considering that this is the case, they do a pretty good job catering to all the customers at the speed of light. their regular daily special is $10 for dinner and a drink. their dinner options, especially the kimchi doria, is AWESOME. it's baked kimchi fried rice topped with mozzarella cheese and you also have the option to choose bulgogi instead. so delicious and well worth $10!

This place is an embarrassment to Philadelphia. There are great DJ's in Philly, and the dance/electronic music scene is burgeoning. It's too bad that we still have this albatross of a dance club hosting events. The staff is downright rude, and claims "state law" for every arbitrary fee or nonsensical rule they impose. They claim to have an ATM on the premises, but its always broken. They DO NOT accept credit cards unless you become a "member" first, which is completely not worth it as you will never want to go back after your first nightmarish evening. Plus being a member only gives you the privilege of paying another exorbitant cover charge the next time. I cannot think of any reason someone would pay $15/person (cash only), then $6 per drink (watered down), and then be subjected to the worst in tacky, thumpy, earsplittingly horrible sound systems (upstairs echo chamber dance floor) or be trapped in a dirty, sticky, shag-carpeted hole (the basement bar). The one and only benefit of Pure is that it is open after 2 A.M., but don't be fooled - they begin to herd everyone out just an hour later. And trust me, you don't want to be there when they turn up the lights...
