by Nick M. on I'll start out by saying something nice: The food was good. Overpriced, but good. (Okay, so it was something *kinda* nice. I can only work with what I've got.) That said, we waited over an hour for sandwiches during a lunch service that was, ah, not exactly jam-packed. I was willing to forgive the inconvenience -- stuff happens, and hey, a hostess at least made the rounds to apologize to the room for the wait. It would have been nice to be offered a comp round of drinks or something, but at least it was an apology. What was far less forgivable, though, was the attitude the waiter copped when he somehow LOST MY CREDIT CARD. Seriously. Somewhere in the handful of yards between the waiters' station and us, he misplaced the card and returned the receipts without it, then responded with snark when we requested he find the card. Thankfully, someone else on staff found it quickly -- in fact, in about the amount of time it took for the waiter to be obnoxious, driving home the ridiculousness of his response. Factor all this in, and you've got a sum simply not worth its parts. I don't think I'll be revisiting The Park.
by Megan L. on I have wanted to come here for years, anything involving music, food and alcohol is a good place for me. Although I was so excited, I have to say it did not live up to my expectations. I had the goat cheese salad which was good but a very small portion, mah man ordered the calamari to start which I did not think tasted correctly, it wAs kinda chewey. He also had the Meatloaf which was good butnot great. Anchor steam was like 6 or 7 bucks each, making for an expensive dinner. The performer was not a blues singer like I had hoped for and you could hardly hear her. I would go again but next time, I'll eat before hand, maybe getting a different appetizer and just have one glass of wine. A very relaxing venue, I liked how the servers made sure all theca does were lit at all times... Made for a great atmosphere.
by Jae Altiery on One of the few gay bars I'm aware of on the UWS. It's not wonderful, but a good place for a relaxing drink, in a very not-superficial atmosphere. People here tend to be 30+. It has a pool table, and a TV above the bar. No frills.
