On Saturday Sept.4, 2020 my friend was celebrating her birthday at this club. We were invited and put on the guest list so that we could go in without getting on line and no cover charge before 1AM. SO when we get there at approximatively 12:30am, one of the security guards says that 2 of my friends were not on the guest list, so we explained them, we all coming together, that all were suppose to be on the GL, so they let them in. When we were coming inside the club another security guard says that we have to pay 10.00 dollars each because it was past 12am and it is a discount if we get in before 1am, we were already getting angry by all of this drama and non sense by these bouncers... so we go to the line and when we are about to pay the woman at the register or cashier says that its already 1am, that we have to pay 20 each, it doesnt matter if we were on the guest list or no, so we decided to talk with the manager, when the manager comes he says that its already 1am, and he left without saying anything else or listening to us.. so we all left and NEVER COMING BACK, NEITHER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO GO THERE!!!, its better to go somewhere else in Midtown, Downtown Manhattan.

I went here for the first time last night, it was a Wednesday. Me and a gay guy friend walked in at around 1:30am, payed the $10 cover each (I believe it is more on weekends). They asked us if we were members, we weren't. We got a stamp on our hand and went in. The area consists of a large dance floor with leather chairs on one side and two bars against the other wall. I didn't like paying $6 for a bottle of Miller Lite...are you kidding? However, the bartender said something about not even being able to buy alcohol if you are not a member (not to self: join?). We sat down for a little bit, it was pretty empty. However, my friend said since this place is open til 4am it would start to get packed real soon. He was right. At around 2:15am, it looked like a night club- awesome techno/club music (tiesto, lady gaga remixes, etc), shirtless gay dudes grinding on each other and the girls they are with, people smoking cigarettes and other things I'm sure. It was an awesome time and we danced for like an hour and a half nonstop. I'll definitely come back here, maybe even with my boyfriend because I loved how fun it was- definitely not a place where you feel awkward because you're not a guy or gay.

I absolutely loved our meal at Morimoto. For a special occasion, this place can't be beat. Check out the photos and you'll get an idea of what it's like. Definitely get the omakase, or chef's choice tasting menu. Some of the courses may seem small, but after seven of them, you'll be very satisfied. The three levels of omakase, $80, $100, and $120, all have the same quantity of food, but the ingredients are different. The very adventurous will enjoy the $120 menu. We decided to go middle-of-the-road with the $100 menu. Since I have some dietary restrictions (no dairy or red meat), four of my course were the same as BF's and three were different. We each had three different fish dishes to start with, then for the entree dishes, he had halibut with a creamy sauce, while I had black cod that was absolutely delicious. When he had lamb chops, I had lobster! It was so exciting to be presented with a surprise dish and hear the description. We both were served a sushi sampler, and then for dessert I had the best sorbet I've ever had in my life. It was a trio of chocolate, pear, and coconut. I wish I could buy sorbet like this in the market. The quality of the ingredients, the complex flavors, and the beautiful presentation definitely made this meal worth $100. It's a splurge, but if you're only going to have one fancy meal while in Philadelphia, Morimoto is an excellent choice. ***SEE PICS***
