If you're looking for a vibe that's different from the pretentious meatpacking scene, then those SOB's musicians will knock your dancing heels off with awesome Latin beats.
by Bob R. on Very rude service. Bad seating and expensive drinks! Takes forever to get served food. Hard to see the stage because it's too low. Watch the bartenders with your change if you are lucky enough to get served. Worst of all the sound sucks. Pretentious assholes seem to like it fine though. If you are one then you may love the place too. Not me.
by Francisco Naes on Busby's is a big fat disappointment. I've been to the Santa Monica location a few times- which is far worse than the LA one. I guess everyone has a certain feel their looking for at a bar/club, and this just doesn't cut it for me. I'll take a dirty dive bar anyday! I'll give it a few points- the LA one is bigger than the SM one, there are movies on when no one catches your eye, and there's booze. The guys all seem frat-like and again, that's just not my thing, but if it'd yours- you may be in for a treat! Parking's also an issue. I guess if you're the kinda girl that likes to throw on your Sunday's best, grab a cab and a douche bag- this really might be a winning spot for you!
