by Alec W. on You get into this not so advertised on the outside place. You go in and it looks like a great place for a party. The supper club has many qualities different from other party places. It has comfy beds, an upstairs level, cool purple and red lights. Did I mention they have performers too? Okay, this place looks different (in a good way) and fantastic so why am I giving it only two stars? Why is this the first review I've only given two stars too? Does this mean this place deserves no stars? No, it means so far, I have reviewed places I like. I've got my reasons for giving the supper club two stars. First, Supper Club's first room is a bit too small. This place is usually reserved for parties and there is not much room for people to stand in here. It does have a nice atmosphere though. Also, they served little hamburgers here which are delicious! The waiters and waitresses were also friendly. The main room was different than I expected. There were beds on the 1st and 2nd floor. There was a landing up there too and all the beds were connected, perfect for a big party. Also, there was a trapeze artist who performed and she was fantastic! I did not expect the live entertainment. The food was a different story. I waited in line for a long time but when I finally got the food, it was average and not extra superb. Their meat was fine but the salad could be improved. About the place itself: The lights helped bring color to the place but the big white room had the atmosphere of one of those small dark clubs, not a big place. I thought the place was too small for the big party I was with. This is a place to hold a smaller party or dance, not a big party. Also, the DJs could have improved too. They stuck with modern rap songs no one knows and took almost no songs from their suggestion list (and most of the songs on it were popular modern songs or songs from back when music was really good.) Overall, this place has great performances, great opportunities for small parties but needs a lighter atmosphere and a larger dancefloor.
by Lisa M. on I've been meaning to write a review for awhile now... but absolutely loved XIV. Our server, Tie, was wonderful. She was helpful with the menu and recommended we do a tasting menu, we did the 11 course one and decided on what we wanted. The majority were wonderful and she even took the ones off the bill that were just so-so. Favorites were the scallops and mini burgers. Probably cause I'm on a vegan diet right now so would kill for a mini or jumbo burger. Anyway- they had to move us as some Prince came in and needed a table, it was early on and we got a better table and some cocktails and then got to dish about the Prince and how he couldn't speak to women that weren't with him. Interesting.
