I have to say, I really enjoy this place :) They had a cover even though it was advertised as free, but my roomie covered it since I came with him and he thought it was free, so kudos to him for that. Outside of that, the venue was spacious enough, and the comedy was very very hit or miss "mostly miss, with like two pretty good hits"...but after the comedy, the real treat happened...they had music and a dance floor. Can't say much on the food because I wasn't balling tonight so I didn't eat anything, but I did noticed that before 9pm everything was half off! so that's always good :) Also, nobody was dancing so i had the whole floor to myself with a few of the go go dancers "randomly a girl I used to date was one of the go go girls, and i girl I was planning a photoshoot with was another", so I came home soaked from dancing. Now here's the real kicker, and I will come back and update this review after doing so, but apparently Tuesdays they have video game tournaments, 1/2 off the menu, free entry, and free chips and guac and salsa...to me that sounds like effin' paradise, so I will surely be checking that out soon! For now, i give Smiles a 3 out of 5 stars

Great venue! Horrible crowd. I was with 2 friends, trying to find a place to go on a Thursday night in the Downtown and Midtown areas of Atlanta. We are just visiting ATL. I'm from CA & they're from NY. Coming here definitely made us miss the nightlife back home. It was college night so girating, sweaty, 18yr olds a plenty. That was a huge turnoff for us because first of all, we felt old and second of all, we were surrounded by the full blown obnoxiousness that 18yr old college students possess. Limbs flailing, unneccessary body parts showing, great outfits then FLIP FLOPS! UURRGGHHH!!! That's a huuuge pet peeve of mine. Why bother wearing a nice dress and getting all done up when you're going to ruin it with a pair of flip flops. The vibe was very different from what we were used to. the drinks were so-so. We quickly downed our SoCo and lime shots and another cocktail and left the building. Maybe it's different on a Friday or Saturday? (Hopefully 21+ crowd) but my first experience here was definitely not great.

this place is fanflippentabulous to hang out at...... If your work is sponsoring it. Sorry i cant get into over crowded, hi we have a lot of tvs so we can charge twice as much for a regular drink type bars.. or hi, i am in a business suite, i dont know crap about the games being played, but i can afford to spend more money than you so i get better seating.. or hi, im a waitress who thinks because you are wearing jeans and flip flops, actually know abou tthe games on tv that my money isnt as good as the suited guy in the tables in front of you... Everything seems out of whack here.. Unless someone else is paying. *and no, i am not cheap, but you know when you get bad service and overlooked for the business guys, so kill yourself for even thinking that! *
