by Mike P. on I'm going to start by saying the food was amazing. But just on that alone I wouldn't go back unless it is for lunch. We went there for dinner on a Saturday night, and the music was deafening, even our server could barely hear us. We had to shout across the table and it really ruined the evening. It seemed more like a place you would go after or before a club, not a place to enjoy great food (even though the food was very good). The Decor is pretty impressive with the giant budda against the far wall and a koi pond. It was a shame it was ruined by other patrons, mostly drunk, taking pictures around it and trying to play with the fish. My wasabi crusted filet was perfect, the tempura was light and flavorful. My wife had sushi and was amazed at the quality. It is a shame that the atmosphere didn't match the decor or the food, otherwise I would have gone back.
by Lily N. on Since every night its different, and the crowd and feel of the party depend on who promotes the party, I'll try to limit this review to just the space and music. For a while, I just went on Fridays- no cover for ladies (RSVP before) and open bar till a certain time. Great for my budgeting self. And there are like 3 bars (2 downstairs, 1 upstairs) I really like the space of Hiro, just enough sitting area and a decent dance space. The DJ varies every time, but as long as he/she is up to date with dance music, I usually don't have any bad critiques on them.

Baby don't hurt me....don't hurt me...no more...." So you now arrive at the club. Wait. Drop someone's name. Say your own name. (Who the fuck cares guys?!?! It isn't like there is a billionaires convention in there...I mean, MAYBE there is one, but seriously....half the guys in there are poseurs, other 49 percent half suck...its the 1% that is cool). So you get in. Like, hottie overload. Slow down Butabi... Listen, so I used to go here within the first year it opened. It got progressively weirder and by weirder I mean more B,T, and a-holeish. I am aware there is a party here now on Wednesday that caters to a cooler crowd...but its a frickin' Wednesday. Try to avoid the NYUers and go for the New Schoolers, especially the ones with the fakes. Awesome. Now when I was 17 I was told that every man should go to a strip club once in his life. I think every man/woman should go to a nightclub once in their life. If you could only go to one, I wouldn't blow your load here...check out Bungalow 8 so at least you can tell the souls that you are in heaven with that you went.
