I'm totally not an expert on the club scene in SF, but I attempted to show up at this place for a birthday party on Saturday night. They were making everyone wait outside in line in 45 degree weather. Everyone was on the "guest list", but I figure they wanted to make us wait so (1) it would make the club look cool, and (2) they could charge us $20 cover which was free only until 11pm.

Great venue! Horrible crowd. I was with 2 friends, trying to find a place to go on a Thursday night in the Downtown and Midtown areas of Atlanta. We are just visiting ATL. I'm from CA & they're from NY. Coming here definitely made us miss the nightlife back home. It was college night so girating, sweaty, 18yr olds a plenty. That was a huge turnoff for us because first of all, we felt old and second of all, we were surrounded by the full blown obnoxiousness that 18yr old college students possess. Limbs flailing, unneccessary body parts showing, great outfits then FLIP FLOPS! UURRGGHHH!!! That's a huuuge pet peeve of mine. Why bother wearing a nice dress and getting all done up when you're going to ruin it with a pair of flip flops. The vibe was very different from what we were used to. the drinks were so-so. We quickly downed our SoCo and lime shots and another cocktail and left the building. Maybe it's different on a Friday or Saturday? (Hopefully 21+ crowd) but my first experience here was definitely not great.

As a venue for live music this place sucks donkey balls. Making me wait outside doesn't make me feel cooler, nope, just colder. The bar was so lame that I felt like I was in an underground party, and not a legal venue. I don't think my drink could have been more watered down. There was a huge buzzing noise during the band I went there to see. A friend asked the sound guy what was going on, and the sound guy said something to the effect of - "Oh that buzzing noise? I dunno, Their set is almost over anyway." The band had played 2 songs. WTF He obviously couldn't have cared less about making the bands sound good. The place looks nice... um I can't think of anything else positive to say. I'm never going there again, I don't care who is playing.
