by Maggie T. on When you see this place on the outside, the free Wifi, the fireplace...you expect this place to be cool...especially at this location. When I walk in there on a Saturday night at 11pm....I thought to myself...why is this place so dead? My friend and I sat on the bar and was wondering if they had Lychee martini, "What" Litchi? Lychee" never heard of it. The mail bartender said. OK....well...I'll look at your specials again. Two minutes later, the same bartender asked if he can just fix us something cool, I accepted and he pretty much mix fruit juice and Malibu rum and charged $7 for it. Never asked if wanted another drink, the bass from The Cellar downstairs is making me uncomfortable, I've decided to leave. The NO smile female bartender says there's minimum of $20 for credit card...OK...I'll pay cash. What gave this place a one star...is that they water down their Vodka, I saw this helper guy putting some no name vadka in the Absolute bottle, filled it 75% of the way and then add water to it....are you serious??? Worst bar I've ever been to!!! What a waste of location and ambiance.
by Marin Golemba on I take pride in planning great events for my friends and on the night of September 22, I was 110% disapointed by the entire experience of this club. Not only would I NOT recommend it but I would go out of my way to warn people about it. With clubs it can be hit or miss..one night could be fabulous and the next not so much. However, this was for my friend's birthday and since I was the one in charge of putting it together, I was left completely embaressed. Their "second dance floor" consisted of a back room which looked like a dump. It was small and had pretty much no one in there at 11:30. When people did show up...they were ugly and ghetto. The manager took our order and because we didn't have a preference on Vodka and didn't want to spend the extra $50 for Grey Goose (which I specifically stated) I told him we wanted the Ciroq, we then waited 20 minutes for them to bring out our Vodka and mixers. Finally it was brought out and it was Grey Goose...the girls dug in and I thought maybe he hooked us up since I was very clear we didn't want the more expensive bottle. But no, at the end of the night he charged us for Grey Goose! On top of it all, we never saw the complimentary Champagne. And our so called "cocktail waitress" made us feel like second class citizens and didn't so much as mutter a word to me or anyone at our table. By the end of the night drunk people were sitting at our poor excuse of a "VIP" table, which we had to repeatedly ask to get up. It was sad. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a club. Anyway...to make a long story short I won't be going back there but if you decide to go make sure you do not get a VIP table in the back room. Don't even go to back room if you can help it. =/ * In addition - since writing this post, the management has contacted me and sent a sincere apology along with a complimentary bottle if we go back. I'm talking to the girls, we may give it a second chance to redeem itself. I will keep you posted if we do. I do appreciate their efforts.
by Hiromi N. on Hey, I remember this restaurant from my college road tripping days (I went to NCSU, if you couldn't already tell). Heck, the burgers were great for a college student's budget and this has a reputation for shouting, rude waitresses :).
