Went here for happy hour on a Wednesday. Great vibe. Took advantage of the cheap happy hour deal of 1 cocktail or beer, 1 appetizer, 1 entree, and 1 dessert all for $20 (between 6-730pm). Can't beat that! The food was tasty and everyone enjoyed the evening. Hibiscus margaritas (Tatus) were off the hook. I'm not a connoisseur of alcohol, but it was enough to get your buzz on. It's a creepa! Good music, but the real music/dancing doesn't start til 10pm. Will definitely be back.

I went for Kontrol (Sat night). Parking was still easy before midnight although neighborhood is kind of sketchy. Bouncer is nice, $15 cover, no wait, no attire. Inside, lots of cool stuff -- outdoor waterfall, fireplace to sit by, inner garden/patio type thing. Lighting is fairly dim though so have a hard time gauging how hot the girls are. Dance floor is raised and average sized. Floor started getting packed at about 2:00-ish and really too many guys/not enough hot girls for my tastes. High gay guy percentage but maybe because this is SF. Left at 2:30-ish but people were just coming in so I may have to stay till Sundary morning for the full experience. Bathroom line was long -- lucky I didn't have to use it. Interesting decor, laidback, diverse crowd, okay music and dancing -- would be higher if more hot girls/less guys and more music variety (Sexyback would be nice!).

I'm told the best time to visit the aquarium is at the end of the day. But there's really no avoiding the crowds. The Georgia Aquarium is the hottest ticket in town. And it's the biggest aquarium in the world. With the biggest fish in the world -- the whale shark. (Note: the Georgia Aquarium had five whale sharks last week, but one of them just died mysteriously). Plus there's the belugas and the sea otters and the living reef. It's really an amazing place. At $20 a ticket, it's not a cheap date. But it's a hell of a lot better than the World of Coke.
