by Mikki Isla on Overall: Very fun spot if you take the right group of friends. I went on a Thursday night and it was empty but that's exactly what I was looking forward to (because I didn't want to make a big fool of myself on the BULL). I went with 10 other friends (17-18+) and we were completely welcomed. At first I thought we might be looked at wrong but they enjoyed the business. The rides on the bull were pretty awesome, considering that it was my first time and everybody Else's as well. There was no music but I really just wanted to go there for the BULL. Food: Was pretty good, which surprised me because I do NOT like Mexican, spicy food. It was actually great. All 10 of my friends enjoyed the food. Only bad thing is that it took forever for them to bring it out but we were in no rush what so ever (so it didn't really bother us). They also allowed us to take a bunch of group pictures with the bull and handed us cowboy hats. Something to keep in mind is that if you look young they will ask you for ID to get on the Bull and order drinks. For the Bull you have to be 18+ and if not, you have to be with someone over 21. I think its a great spot! just go with a lot of fun people who aren't shy, it's great for large groups so invite all your friends! They also recommended we came on a Friday night and told us they play lots of music. I will definitely stop by on a Friday or Saturday night.
by Darlene Dorie on I love this place! Looking for a good late night eat? Come here! I usually get the Delux burger and its best to get it the way its suggested on the menu (med rare). Their fries (especially the sweet potatoe) are out of this world! They come in a little wire shopping basket on wheels! I have been tempted to take one home with me! They have a very extensive selections of beer and wine, all sorts of imports are available. This place does fill up fast but will not disappoint the palate!!

This place is like doing the Bus Stop to Dolly Parton's "9 to 5" - it shouldn't work but somehow it completely does. In the words of Dolly herself, "It's all wrong but it's alright". There is the right melange of hip and goofy that makes it fabulous and silly simultaneously. Sexy A-list staff from the bar to the door, yay. Haven't been able to suppress my American heritage (i.e. germ-phobia) and get near the communal beds. Ew. Original Review: I only went to the opening and it is impossible to tell what the real vibe of a joint is going to be until it has been open for a month or so. That being said I think the concept is way fabulous for SF - we need more glamour in this village. I love the carnivale concept and I like having a spot to wear my fancy clothes. I agree with the other posters that the door staff was less than knowledgeable on the industry night. If you have an industry night you need experienced industry people with the guest list. Industry people are notoriously petulant when we aren't coddled as we should be. So, the door drama was unfortunate but forgivable if they sort it out. Besides, everything goes haywire on the opening night. But the bar staff is top notch - true professionals - great cocktails and a pleasure to watch. So at least someone knows what they are doing there. I will definitely return - this place has ambition - I like their moxie.
