by Louie Deanda on I've been to busby's twice and both times have been fun. 1) Arrived around 12:30 after clubbing at cabana. street parking on Detriot. My friend came to get me at the entrance.. guard let me in but told me to pay 10 bucks at the ... ticket booth. and i ran in without paying. HAHAHA and no one stopped me. so 5 stars. danced around with some friends. awesome songs. live band. ended the night with teaching a drunken friend how to barf but failed. 2) Arrived 10:46. started the night with a vodka tonic... dance battle with a friend on a ... somewhat empty dance floor. lost my phone while posing. realized 5 min. later. called my phone... it was turned off... i just got jacked. :( so sad. bye bye iphone. then... shot shot shot shot shot shot. ended up having a great time anyway. sang and danced with the band and good friends. threw out my neck... friend fell on broken glass. more good times to come at busby. tip: CAB.
by Maricruz Ferland on To do it right: $16 [3.5] The good: -pretty big dance floor (also, not a gross cave like at Delirium) -live DJ -reasonable drinks/prices -bartender who knows that "double gin and tonic" means "80-90% gin with a bit of ice and splash of tonic" The bad: -I just don't find this place fun I'm not exactly sure why I don't like it. It always feels busy, but never sardine-can-packed, which is good. The DJs seem to be pretty good, and there's always dancing. I really can't describe why I'm not a huge fan, but the fact remains that when someone says Vertigo, I take a pass. Summary: To me, it's an OK place for a night out, but not worth the trip to the city. Maybe you'll like it more--go find out!
by Chris L. on Great atmosphere, great decoration. Their cocktail lounge is pretty big... nice place to go on a fancy date. The lamb skewers weren't bad, though I wish it was a bit more tender. The red snapper was very tasty, and the apple galette was also a pretty good dessert... not too sweet for those who don't have a sweet tooth. The place is always packed, and I felt a bit rushed by our server once we were finished eating. I know they're trying to keep up with the business and all, but let us diners enjoy the environment for a bit!
