I decided to come here for my birthday for the past three weeks I have been emailing these people about my bottle service they are really rude and short with any questions that i asked them so NOTHING was clear and even the day of my reservation a few questions were ignored So after weeks of talking to todd bowman and jason pollak I get there and they have me down for 1 bottle and i asked for 2 and they said i had 6 girls! i was like WTF! i never once in my life said i was with all girls my group was coupled up and i gave him a list of names! when i got there i asked for jason or todd.... jason told me i could not come in with the guys that were with us so todd came out and jason pointed him in my direction as soon as he saw me he made that face expression like "fuck! i dont want to talk to this chick" he spoke to me like i was piece of shit underneath his shoe. so i ended up leaving and i will never attempt to go there again. I had the worst birthday in history not to mention it was embarrassing telling all my friends that i have bottle service there and they wont let any guys in after i was planning to pay over a grand there!

Decided to host my christmas gathering here this year, and I am not disappointed. We had a party of 8, and was seated immediately without any waiting. We ordered: grilled cheese: we love it so much, we ordered 3 orders!! mini burgers: i love the fact that it is so mini, therefore it does not get messy and all over the place calamari: a bit soggy - didn't like it as much beef tartare: only my boyfriend and I enjoy this dish, no one else in the party was really a beef tartare type of people i guess. tuna poke : pretty good gnocchi: only had a little bit of this, but taste pretty good. fish tacos: i don't like fish tacos much, but seems like everyone else enjoyed it. I enjoy their bite-size dessert for $1!! I was good, only had the ice cream sandwich which was pretty good. I definitely will want to try other dessert next time. and one last thing, the pineapple mojito is the BEST!!!!! I love how I can barely taste the alcohol and mostly pineapple - most people would probably prefer the opposite, but not me!!

On my way to the airport to catch my flight back to SF I realized that I was in Austin for five days and hadn't sampled the famous Texas BBQ yet. Luckily, Salt Lick BBQ has a location inside the airport. The food was well worth the wait-chopped beef brisket served with a tangy BBQ sauce on a soft roll and a pickle on the side. Of course I needed a Shiner Bock to round out the perfect Austin vacation...four solid stars, mainly because $14 for a sandwich (no sides) and a beer seems a bit high.
