To be frank combining an attractive crowd with a sophisticated interior and topless dancers is most likely going to push your club into the novelty / unique category. A very decadent and fun scene, this club is a must if you can get in. Boom.
by Tomasa Kunau on After leaving Perry's we headed to Harlot to continue a fun night of drinking. If my review was based on decor and bartender alone, it would get five stars. Loved the ambiance and gothic theme of the place. Exposed metal girders, black painted branches artfully attached, and super cool paintings. My kind of place! Kris, the bartender, was really cool too and was very nice and helpful, offering to make drinks that were no longer on the menu and free Pop Chips to everyone. No pretense and she made everyone feel at home. Sadly, after that, the place just didn't do it for me. We were there early, so the place wasn't much of a scene yet (hey, we don't need a scene...we can make our own!), but beyond that the place had an oddball clientele. Certainly not goth or 'the beautiful people', yet not quite douche either. More than anything, it was nerd geeky (as Seinfeld would say...not that there's anything wrong with that!). Then again, it was early and we didn't stick around too long so I can't say if it changed for the better or the worse. Drinks were tasty, although the prices were steep! Another disappointment was that I was under the impression that the place had a downstairs or was bigger, but such was not the case with Harlot. Now that would have been cool if there had been another room and dance area with another bar on the level below a la NY or for that matter, Washington DC! Sadly, I thought the name Harlot was appropriate. Like a true harlot passing by and slipping into the darkness of the night...at first glance, great to look at and lust after, but not much substance once you take the time to try and get to know her. Some things are best left as a beautiful and sweet memory of the moment, just like Harlot.
by Orlando P. on It's a small restaurant, with a patio, and a mini bar & dance floor. You'd be best going at night, try going out for a dinner, and drinks kind of place. Be there before 9, cause there is a $5.00 cover charge afterward. The food is average. I was never blown away with any of their dishes, and the Cognac Shrimp was not appealing at all. I don't know if the cook got a little to excited that day, but it was not a good combo. Other than that, the drinks are drinks, and the music is good. It's mainly for a Hispanic audience, but I've had a lot of non Hispanic friends enjoy themselves here. It's like a Mini club.
