I am not much of going out on a Sunday to some party, as i know i cannot stop at just one drink, but went to park with some friends and had a really good time. It felt much like b bar to me with much more space and actually a bit cuter. The music is really good and the only draw back i would have to say are the go-go boys. I can see how they fit into Splash, Urge, and etc but I don't see them here...bleh. While waiting for my friends to collect their coats I had two guys approach me as well, which never happens - so that's always an added star!

I'm truly torn here. Do I review based on the quality and caliber of the performances I've experienced here or do I base it on the establishment itself? The fact is, there is nothing particularly great about Webster Hall. It's dirty, it's over priced and it is always packed to the point that the floor is bowing beneath you. Sound quality isn't particularly good, they always pump way too much smoke into the room and the ventilation is poor at best. But, then there is the never ending list of acts that take the stage. My two favorite shows were the Flaming Lips and Fountains of Wayne. Any time you get to see larger name acts in a small location it's always going to be more enjoyable, and while those are just my two picks there is no denying the fact that their playbill is infinitely longer than anything I could list out here. Also, you aren't going to go broke buying tickets, but maybe that accounts for the establishments poor upkeep. So I guess it evens out here. You get to see some bigger name players at a lower price because you're going to get ripped off on drinks and possibly spend an hour listening to Charlie Browns teacher yelling at you through the speakers. Alright, maybe that's a little bit overly dramatic, but this location is still definitely questionable at best.
