Going to the Clermont is like being in a David Lynch movie. All locals need to go at least once, and it's always a fun place to take friends from out of town.

Came to SOBs with a small group of friends on Friday night. I had never been here before, friends were visiting from out of town - we made dinner reservations - I think it's important to clear up something about SOBs - this place is first and foremost a nightclub. I made reservations here for dinner at 9pm, thinking we could have dinner in a loud but not deafening environment and that we could then dance (for example, like Son Cubano). I would not recommend this place for dinner. While the food was delicious, there really are just a few tables around the nightclub and stage - it's hard to talk and hear anyone and it's quite dark with flashing lights, etc. (I give SOBs 4 stars as a cool place to go for dancing, but I would give it one star as an appropriate location for dinner proper.) We paid $15 each for door entry and then paid for dinner, even though I was told when making the reservations that if we had dinner reservations we didn't need to pay a separate cover for the live music. Otherwise, we had a lot of fun dancing salsa, this is one of the few places that actually reminded me of an authentic Latin scene with reggaeton, etc. playing in between the live band sets. In retrospect, I would've gone elsewhere for dinner and then come here for dancing and drinks. Or dancing, drinks and a few appetizers (to have a table). I hope this review helps!

I don't get this place. It's kind of weird, undergroundish, "gypsy". Ok so I actually ate here. The menu was very limited and because my stomach is not the strongest, I decided to go for the shrimp caesar salad. But wait, let me back up. Parking is shady, pay to park in a well-lit parking lot on Peachtree. Many, many bums and random people that don't look "right" are in this area. I had to pay $10 to get in. My friend was on their mailing list and forget to bring the e-mail and the girl at the front was being a winch and made us pay saying the next time we need to RSVP. Anyway, we sat ourselves at a table and waited about ten minutes for acknowledgment. Finally, a waitress appears and says "I'll be right back with your water". Ok...she comes back and says "What can I get you". I am trying to figure out where my water is but I order and say think maybe she will bring it after she puts in the order. Nope, didn't happen. She didn't bring it until after the salad was delivered. Oh boy!! How many people have had a Caesar salad with Italian dressing and tomatoes with NO parmesan cheese? I didn't think so. I complained and got my food free (1 kudo for Django). Downstairs where the dj and dancing takes place doesn't get jumping until after 12:30. I did not enjoy the dj, his theme was "I get money". All songs had to do with money with no variety. It was annoying. I danced for about twenty minutes and left.
