I had heard about Buddah Bar and was interested to try it out. I made a reservation on a Thursday night was was seated promptly after my arrival. It was pretty crowded but the dining room was big enough to accommodate everyone comfortably. There was a DJ but the music wasn't too loud that you couldn't have a conversation. The decor was awesome. I loved the giant Buddha in the back of the restaurant as well as the aquarium. Our food was good. Everyone I was with was satisfied. I would definitely go back.

Hmmm. What can I say? I had a great time. No compliants really. We arrived here about 10:30 or so (FREE before 11 if you sign up on the guestlist) on a Saturday night. The place wasn't busy at all as expected at this time of the night. You've got about 3 different levels and probably 4 or 5 different rooms with different music in each if you're feeling a little jumpy and don't want to stay in one place too long. It seemed that the top floor and patio seemed to be the most popular at the time. Good view of the city and the weather was perfect for a couple of drinks outside. My only problem with the balcony is that it's great if you want to talk because the music is kept really low, but I came to a dance club. I want to DANCE!!! That's why you've got all the other rooms to wander too so I did. lol In each room you've got a bar so no worries on making the trip to another part of the club and if you're wondering the bathrooms are set up the same way. Who wants to be in a club with 5+ different rooms/ parts of the club and you've only got your choice of 1 or 2 bathrooms in said parts of a busy club? Not I. So they've got you covered on this as well. To be honest with you the music was ok. I don't think they played techno because I didn't leave with a headache but the music was danceable. Probably top 40s, and the bartenders, door guy and girl were all super nice. Despite the hip scene that entered after 11:30pm and the nice setting the staff was as welcoming as the seats in the corners. Not like other places I have been..Opera. Did I say that out loud. Sure did! ;oD And for the those who like to partake in adult bevies, the prices are pretty reasonable. $7 Vodka redbull and $4 beers. Pretty typical but not bad at all considering you could easily be charged $10 for a redbull vodka at any other club in the area. :oD Had a great time and I would definitely reccomend it to anyone looking for a good time in Midtown.

Boy is this place small! And hard to find! There's no sign and while it's supposed to be on the corner of Hollywood and Las Palmas, it really isn't. It's basically north of Hollywood instead. I see why the lines on weekends are probably so long. They probably reach their cap way too fast and thus, a line. Place has this world map/clock you see upon entry, decent sized bar with a jellyfish tank in the center of the bottles display, a smoking area that looks like it's indoors, but it's not as there's this tarp and you can see through the outside of it. Dance floor is ridiculously tiny. Of course, it's Hollywood so the drinks are overpriced. Personally. I'd rather just walk over to Lucky Devils for their excellent beer selection instead. I'm not a huge club person but then again, this isn't a huge club. Kind of a mini-mart of nightclubs.
