Strictly for their Happy Hour: Monday to Saturday from 5-9pm! $3 draft or $10 pitcher. $3 well drink cocktails - margarita, cosmo, kamikaze. I believe Bud & Bud Light is $2? And Miller and something else at $2.50? Anyway, we saw the A-frame sign on the sidewalk re: Happy Hour. We were in the neighborhood to try Street - specifically their fried chicken but they didn't have it on their menu! So we decided to walk on Polk to find our next meal...then comes the sign and drew us in. We ordered our Nick's crispy taco (carnitas) and a chicken burrito w/ the works and went to sit at the bar. There are 4 drafts: Guinness, Stella, Blue Moon and Anchor Steam but they were out of AS. We decided on a pitcher of Blue Moon - $10! That's like $2.50/pint - why not? We never stop at one anyway. The bartender was very friendly and cool. Hubby enjoyed watching the Lakers vs. Spurs while I played game on my iTouch. The place is ok - almost seem a bit dirty to me or at least sticky. We do, however, really like the many chandeliers and all the booth seats - so 40's and 50's.

Growing up in San Francisco, I was always DYING to see a show at Bimbo's, but was excluded because of their age limit. Now that I have been of age for a few years, I can say that it is probably my favorite venue in the City. Everything about the Bimbo's is so classically cool and hip. I love the dark lighting, the red tones, gold accents, and table service. Went to see Robyn there last week and made sure to be the first in line to score our favorite table. The menu has been revamped and while it's pretty limited, a cheap yummy pizza or order of fries is sometimes all you need!

Great secret of the highly-ignored Gray's Ferry section of the city. Grace's has one of the better beer lists per price in the city. From $4-7, you can sample some belgium brews like the bigtimers. What's more, the extremely-friendly staff is more than happy to offer suggestions or field questions, so as not to be pretentious like so many barkeeps. The food is served late, and better than your average pub grease. The menu is very original, like the beer list. I like the dark lighting, the loud conversation, the prime '80s New-Wave/Indie music, and the friendliest staff in this section of the city. Grace's is a well-kept secret, so be careful who you tell... [says the guy posting it online]
