by Mona S. on We made reservations here for Dine LA week for a 7 pm on a weekday night. Despite having reservations we waited for over an hour & there wasn't that much space to hang out with a group. 4 out of 6 of us got the Dine LA 3 course meals which were actually decent portions and decent prices for a high-end restaurant ($44 each including a starter, main course and dessert) I ended up ordering the vegetarian falafel burger as it had made some reference to Michael Mina's mom making this recipe... mom's recipes are always good, right? Well, it was alright.. not bad not good. I could have made that at home. The bun was wayy too carb heavy/fluffly for a nice fancy burger. The dessert was very nicely presented.. a chocolate mouse cake with peanut butter crisps and vanilla ice cream. But being the big chocolate fan that I am, I wasn't too impressed by the taste. Overall, I'm glad I went there for Dine LA so we at least got to sample many things for a set price..but I wouldn't go there again for a regular dinner.
by Agustin Sollenberger on this place was cool looking.. very future-esque. i think i had some soup, potstickers, and a roll.. i was real sick that time.. coughing up my lungs and pushing 'em back style. i sat at the bar as i was on a solo holiday, and the sushi chef was nice enough to give me tea that would help out my cough. he also gave me a couple stashes to take back to home, or in that case my hotel room. i'd go back here again! yumm!
